A Season of Preparation

Advent is a season of preparing. Hoping. Longing. Waiting. Advent reminds us of what—of WHO—we desire in the deepest place in our hearts. The season of Advent coincides with the pre-Christmas frenzy, where our attention is pulled toward the material world that cunningly robs us of the transcendent invitation: to experience anew just how viscerally we long for a Savior.

Advent is more than a reminder. It’s a crucial step on the Christian journey of Faith that allows us to prepare our hearts for the fruition of something beyond tradition or ideal. We receive our Savior in flesh, the reality of whom changes everything about our relationship to God the Father and our circumstance relative to sin and death. These are the realities we seek to convey and experience through the songs we’ve composed for Advent.
