Fire of Your Love
I’ve often struggled against thinking of the Holy Spirit as a sidekick to the Father and the Son, rather than the third Person of the Trinity, and I’m reasonably sure I’m not alone….
At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit breathes upon the spark of new life that was ignited in us at Easter. This breath of God animates us, fans the embers of our Faith into living flames. We’re invited to move beyond the motions of faith, and into the fullness of living it. Every hollow space in us is filled with the fire of God’s love, a fire sustained by the Sacraments. Grace is poured into our fear we pray, “Come Holy Spirit.”
Watch and Pray with the Church this Pentecost through songs that invoke the Holy Spirit to come upon us with grace to live fully alive.
