Events For Catholic Musicians
Serving the Church through song is not something reserved for an elite few, but rather a unique calling entrusted to those with musical talents. Our events for Catholic musicians provide opportunities for spiritual growth and professional formation so that musicians and the communities they serve can experience the full power of music to deepen our Faith.
Workshops
A “roundtable” gathering with the musicians from The Vigil Project and Catholic musicians from your area to learn and dialogue about the unique calling we have to serve the Church through song. Catholic musicians often feel like islands without a greater sense of connection to others who can understand and encourage them. The goal of these events is to build community amongst Catholic musicians within a general geographic area or specific Church parish and to reinvigorate their common passion for serving the Church through music.
BASIC DETAILS
1.5 to 3 hour interactive gathering led by musicians from The Vigil Project.
Content rooted in Church documents and designed with all Catholic musicians in mind, from the organist to the folk guitarist.
Dialogue-driven, comprehensive conversation that expands to all aspects of Catholic music, from Liturgical song to devotion song and beyond.
Workshop booklet and exclusive online resources to keep the conversation going long after the workshop ends.
Catholic Musician Retreats
An intimate 3 to 4 day retreat led by the artists and presenters of The Vigil Project. We host an annual Catholic Musician Retreat in New Orleans and in Denver. These events is open to the public and draw a diverse group of musicians from across the US and abroad. Retreat sizes are extremely limited and personal, so every participant has the opportunity to grow in three key areas of their lives as musicians and as Catholics - music, community, and spirituality.
