The Vigil Project

Music for the Catholic journey.

What if music can restore devotional prayer in the Catholic Church?

To live the Catholic Faith is to live on a journey of devotion. The Vigil Project’s mission is to help expand the conversation around Catholic music to extend beyond the Mass into the day-to-day life of faith. We do this through creative music projects, musician and parish formation, and live events.

New Album

“Meditations on the Our Father” - AVAILABLE NOW!

When a 16th century Spanish nun named Teresa was asked how one could obtain the uniqueness of her prayer life, she simply pointed to the prayer Jesus taught us — the Our Father. The Vigil Project announces a new album featuring music to accompany OSV Books and the Hagios Scripture Study’s release, (written by the incredible Kristina Romero with Fr. Jeffrey Kirby). The stirring and reflective album—written by The Vigil Project alongside Ben Batalla—includes 6 original instrumental meditation songs inspired by the verses of the Our Father prayer, and 2 new lyric songs, all guiding you deeper in prayer and contemplation as you journey through the six-week Hagios Scripture Study.

Parish Resources

The parish is the heartbeat of the Catholic Church and the heartbeat of our work. We’ve served over 400 parishes in recent years through our touring True Presence Nights with music and Eucharistic Adoration; with consulting and guiding pastors in evaluating their music ministry and helping raise the bar of excellence; through musician retreats and workshops; and much more.

Who We Serve

We’re helping to restore devotional prayer in the Catholic Church that deepens participation in the Sacraments and liturgical seasons. At the heart of this restoration is an invitation to sing. Here’s who we serve and how we invite them to pray with music:

When man comes into contact with God, mere speech is not enough. Areas of his existence are awakened that spontaneously turn into song.

— Pope Benedict XVI
