The Vigil Project

Music for the Catholic journey.

What if music can restore devotional prayer in the Catholic Church?

To live the Catholic Faith is to live on a journey of devotion. The Vigil Project’s mission is to help expand the conversation around Catholic music to extend beyond the Mass into the day-to-day life of faith. We do this through creative music projects, musician and parish formation, and live events.

“House of the Lord” - AVAILABLE NOW!

Life seems to be full of moments when a lived experience illuminates the deeper meaning of something you’ve known your whole life.  That’s where “House of the Lord” came from.  Our family [Greg & Lizzy Boudreaux] was spending last summer in Modena, Italy, with what has become our Italian family.  Whenever we are there, we stay in the same apartment attached to the parish church.  The building itself has become a real home for us.  When we walk in the front door and drop our bags after an international journey, it’s not the feeling of having arrived somewhere far away, but of having arrived at home.  With minimal IKEA furnishings and even fewer toys to entertain the kiddos, I was struck repeatedly by the joy that was contained in those rooms with my wife, my kids, and our friends who came over to make pasta, to pray, or to spontaneously invite us to dinner.  It was a small taste of what’s to come in eternity when we dwell forever in the courts of the Lord.

Parish Resources

The parish is the heartbeat of the Catholic Church and the heartbeat of our work. We’ve served over 400 parishes in recent years through our touring True Presence Nights with music and Eucharistic Adoration; with consulting and guiding pastors in evaluating their music ministry and helping raise the bar of excellence; through musician retreats and workshops; and much more.

On Tour with The Vigil Project

Who We Serve

We’re helping to restore devotional prayer in the Catholic Church that deepens participation in the Sacraments and liturgical seasons. At the heart of this restoration is an invitation to sing. Here’s who we serve and how we invite them to pray with music:

When man comes into contact with God, mere speech is not enough. Areas of his existence are awakened that spontaneously turn into song.

— Pope Benedict XVI
